The One Step Forward Education Foundation is pleased to make a multi-year commitment to endow a scholarship at the Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development.

With Wheelock College’s formal merger with Boston University (BU) in 2018, BU Wheelock combines many of the resources and programs of the former Wheelock College and Boston University School of Education.

Founded in 1839, Boston University is an international, comprehensive, private research university, committed to educating students to be reflective, resourceful individuals ready to live, adapt, and lead in an interconnected world. BU believes that higher education should be accessible to all and that research, scholarship, artistic creation, and professional practice should be conducted in the service of the wider community—local and international.

The One Step Forward Education Foundation’s endowed scholarship provides annual awards, based on financial need, to undergraduate students at BU Wheelock, with a preference for students aspiring to become educators. As we have seen in these challenging times, teachers are essential and to be valued!
